EGGwegoFest - Floribunda Gardens

Chicagolands first annual EGGFest will be held in beautiful, semi-rural Oswego Township in the field at Floribunda Gardens on Saturday September 13^th, 2008.

EGGwegoFest is for everyone. Big Green Egg owners – affectionately called EGGHeads – love to get together to share recipes, techniques and ideas. Many of us talk to each other on the Big Green Egg Forum and this is a great way to meet each other in person. We welcome anyone who is interested in great food, learning more about the Big Green Egg, and likes to meet other wonderful people.

How does it work ? We plan to have at least 50 Big Green Eggs all cooking at the same time - hopefully double that! Either you come as a cook or a taster. Cooks get in free but are responsible for bringing the food they will share with the tasters. Typically the cooks will prepare their specialties so get ready for a broad range of great food! We provide the Big Green Eggs and charcoal, firestarters, etc. The way we can provide the EGGS is that they are all pre-sold as Demo Eggs.

Large Egg, Nest, Ceramic top, Grate, Daisy Wheel Top, Temp Gauge, Ash Tool, Grill Gripper, Bag of Charcoal, Cookbook, DVD, Spring assisted band

What to Bring Floribunda Gardens will provide a huge tent around which all the Eggs will be cooking. The center will be open for shade or rain relief and will have chairs for resting and hanging out. We will have free pop and water. Feel free to bring your own alcoholic beverages if you desire.

The cooks will bring the food they plan on cooking along with any supplies they might need.

Please do not bring any pets.

How to Register -

You can Register for EGGwegoFest in two ways. You can attend as a spectator or participate in the cooking. The number of cooks may be limited to the number of Demo Eggs sold.

Either way registration is easy. You may stop in at Floribunda Gardens, or you can fill out the registration form online by clicking www.eggwegofest.com/registration-form/

Cost is $20/person, $35/couple. Cooks are no charge and the cooks family is half price.
